Andrew Prahlow: ‘Outer Wilds’ Live with the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra
BAFTA-nominated composer Andrew Prahlow will be joined by the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra to perform music from the videogames ‘Outer Wilds’, ‘Echoes of the Eye’, and ‘The Lost Reels’.
The concert will be held at the famous Montalban Theatre in Hollywood on Friday, April 26 at 8pm; and the concert will also include performances by special guest(s) TBA.
Andrew Prahlow is a BAFTA-nominated composer based in Los Angeles whose music focuses on larger-than-life, emotive soundscapes with a core of chamber-ensemble minimalism, hoping to create a sense of familiar nostalgia for the listener.
Mr. Prahlow’s soundtrack for ‘Outer Wilds’ received 4 Best Original Score nominations (BAFTA, SXSW, Golden Joystick Awards, Jerry Goldsmith Awards), two G.A.N.G. nominations (Best Indie Game Music and Best Interactive Score), as well as 2 Best Game Music wins (Giant Bomb and OnlySinglePlayer Awards).
The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, now in its 8th season, was founded by co-music directors Noah Gladstone and Mark Robertson. Previous concerts include several films live to picture, such as “Parasite”, “Killer Clowns from Outer Space”, “Blackfish”, and “Harry Potter and the Socerer’s Stone”. They also have premiered works by Pinar Toprak, Chad Cannon, Michael Barry, Genevieve Vincent, and many others.
